However, the ending was unbelievably beautiful.
But after 30 % the action became more and more interesting and heroes more intriguing. I had a hard time to connect with Vaughn and Lenora. The beginning of this book was a bit shaky for me. For me, it was just a great book filled with a lot of angst and little heavy, with a theme of enemies-to-lovers. But I wouldn’t categorize this book as dark read. I’ll start by stating that this book deals with the sensitive subject some may find triggering but for me, it was just a sad and devastating fact that explains why Vaughn is so very different from other heroes of this series.
